Mount Carmel Guild to Host Community Engagement Garden Party - Invites Mercer County Development Partners
Mount Carmel Guild, a faith-inspired nonprofit serving Mercer County under the auspices of the Diocese of Trenton, is thrilled to announce its Community Engagement Garden Party under the theme “Summer in Bloom: A Celebration of Leadership and Legacy.” The event will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the lawns of Mount Carmel Guild, located at 73 North Clinton Avenue, Trenton, NJ.
A joyful and meaningful celebration, the Garden Party will bring together community development partners from across Mercer County - business leaders, nonprofit partners, schools, faith-based organizations, and civic agencies to foster collaboration and celebrate the spirit of service that strengthens our region.
The event will also honor a moment of historic transition for the Guild, as we bid farewell to outgoing Executive Director Mary Inkrot, and warmly welcome our new Executive Director, Daren Miller. As Mount Carmel Guild looks toward its next chapter of growth and innovation, we are excited to deepen partnerships that address hunger, isolation, and hardship among our most vulnerable neighbors.
In keeping with the spirit of community, guests are invited to bring a small bundle of fresh fruits or vegetables to contribute to our “Community Harvest Table” which will be on display throughout the event. These gifts will be shared with individuals and families in need during the Guild’s food pantry distribution hours the following week, honoring the heart of our mission to nourish body, mind, and spirit.
“This isn’t just a celebration - it’s an opportunity to build the future we want to see for Trenton and wider Mercer County,” said Daren Miller, the incoming Executive Director. “The Guild’s history was built on partnerships, and today more than ever, our future depends on collaboration, compassion, and the collective will to serve.”
Founded in 1920, Mount Carmel Guild has faithfully served Mercer County for over a century, offering home health nursing for the elderly and providing emergency food support to individuals and families in need. Inspired by Catholic social teaching and operating as an affiliate of the Diocese of Trenton, the Guild’s mission is simple but powerful: to restore dignity, offer hope, and build a stronger, more compassionate community for all.
The Community Engagement Garden Party is complimentary for all invited partners.
Dress: Garden Chic/Business Casual
A sponsored bar service and light refreshments will be provided in the spirit of community and celebration.
