Biography
My professional experience and background started in accounting, business development and business administration. My 25-plus years of experience in these areas of concentration, include a principal role in my own accounting firm following the creation of RWK Consulting, LLC in 2000, allowing me to expand my career into the political sciences, being designated as both a Federal and State Government Affairs Agent to better build the community in which we live each day. I have also held leadership roles in public agencies, including: Commissioner and Assistant Treasurer of the Mercer County Improvement Authority, which initiated and governed significant capital and service programs throughout Mercer County; moving on to President of The New Jersey Business Incubator Network (NJBIN) with oversight of all 13 State of New Jersey business, technology and science incubators located throughout the State of New Jersey. During my time as president of NJBIN we increased our scope to include the addition of 4 new business incubator sites with the collaboration of the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology, and we increased funding by approx. $1,600,000.00. During my tenure as Director of Business Development at Burlington County College, we exceeded previous development numbers and increased the standard of incubation to become the second highest ranked business incubator in the state of New Jersey. This success resulted in additional increases to tenancies, funding and support for the institution in regional community smart growth and economic development activities. In addition to my professional endeavors, I have been active in community volunteer efforts, most notably with Mercer County, Burlington County and Atlantic County
In my roles and partnerships, I oversaw growth and development, which provided long-range strategic leadership and day-to-day stability. I have had the good fortune of helping the local community daily, in both Trenton and beyond. I am proud of the work and time I devoted to many local Non Profits, from The Prodigal Sons and Daughters children annual holiday literacy program, to Why not Wednesday’s open market in Trenton with The Trenton Downtown Association, the wild life safety pilot platform with the MCIA to the Hamilton YMCA and the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce.
I delight in being responsible for planning, organizing and directing aggressive and comprehensive annual fund raising campaigns; and pursuing strategies, such as planned giving, that enhance the long-term financial strength of local organizations and the fresh growth of small businesses throughout New Jersey.
It has been my privilege to help those in need from a wide range of organizations.
