After recent waves of federal funding opportunities, many organizations find themselves facing their first single audit. Join Your Part-Time Controller as we provide an introductory overview of single audits and federal awards compliance, including background information and key terms, the 12 compliance requirements, and the single audit process itself. The session will provide you with the guidance you need to navigate the single audit process as an auditee.

Who Should Attend: Individuals working for or with nonprofit organizations who receive federal funds, or those who would like a refresher on federal award compliance.

Learning Objectives:  

1. Identify authoritative sources, define key terms, and analyze background information related to single audits and federal award compliance.
2. Evaluate compliance requirements and apply criteria to determine which requirements are applicable to specific awards.
3. Summarize the steps involved in the single audit process.
4. Describe how to prepare for an audit, including strategies for anticipating potential issues and managing the audit process.

Participants will earn 1.0 CPE credit in Accounting (Governmental).
