CHAMBER OVERVIEW: The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, with 1000 corporate partners and over 7000 individual members, is the largest and oldest Regional Chamber in the State of New Jersey. The Chamber is viewed by our members as indispensable to their success; acknowledged by civic leaders, government officials and the media as the authoritative voice of the Princeton Mercer business community; and recognized by the public as an effective catalyst for improving the quality of life for those who visit, work, and live in the greater Princeton Mercer Region.


POSITION OVERVIEW:  The Event Coordinator works collaboratively with all Chamber team members to engage current and prospective members, ensure thriving program committees, and execute best-in-class events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist with the administration and management of assigned program committees. Committee assignments are fluid and may change depending on the needs of the Chamber.
  • Assist with the execution of best-in-class events, including event setup and breakdown, attendee registration, AV, and other event logistics.
  • Execute event marketing campaigns, including the development of promotional eblasts and event collateral including fliers, signage, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Utilize the Chamber database to track registrations, print nametags, and produce event reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Chamber members, guests, and volunteers.
  • Provide administrative support to other Chamber team members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to interface professionally with C-suite executives and community leaders
  • Familiarity with relevant tools including a robust CRM, Constant Contact or equivalent, Canva or equivalent, and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of graphic design
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment 
  • Strong written, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work evenings and/or early mornings

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but prior work experience will be considered.

Classification: The Event Coordinator position is non-exempt.

Salary: $42-47K
