PRINCETON MERCER REGIONAL CHAMBER TO HOST PITCH COMPETITION

Pitch Stop VII will feature three startups and a judges’ panel of industry experts.

January 29, 2025, Princeton, NJ – Next in the tank are our three startups! The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce will host Pitch Stop VII, a shark-tank style pitch competition, on Thursday, February 13th from 5:30-8:30pm at Grounds For Sculpture, the host sponsor for the event.

The Chamber’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council selected three startups as finalists this year: Blue Filter, a sustainable water purification system aimed at combating the potable water crisis across the globe; Julia Technologies, a trauma care HUD, AR, and robotic assistance system whose goal is to improving medical care in remote environments; and Tangra, an immersive and engaging AI experience for workplace training.

Each of these teams will be given the opportunity to pitch to a panel of seasoned investors and entrepreneurs. The panel this year consists of James Howard, Dr. Shihab Kuran, and Sean O’Sullivan. Howard is the Executive Director of the Black Inventors Hall of Fame, he is a lecturer, historian, and designer with over 300 products and 20 patents in his name. Dr. Kuran is the President and CEO of Power Edison and an investor and entrepreneur who was named one of NJBIZ’s 100 Most Powerful People in New Jersey Business. O’Sullivan is a Managing General Partner of Sean O’Sullivan Ventures, a venture capital firm with over $1.6 billion in assets; O’Sullivan himself is an entrepreneur whose first startup grew to become a $200 million public company.

Competitors will pitch their startup then face questions from the judges panel and the audience before an ultimate winner is crowned. The winner will receive a prize package worth over $10,000 in professional services, curtesy of Integris, Imbue Creative, Primepoint HRMS & Payroll, Christopher R.
