Legacy of Leadership Awards Dinner Recap: An Evening of Celebration
The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber’s Legacy of Leadership Awards Dinner was filled with celebration, inspiration, and dedication as we honored four remarkable leaders in our region’s business community and awarded a grant to a nonprofit committed to developing the next generation of leaders. The event was held on December 5 at The Stone Terrace by John Henry’s in Hamilton.
“Bringing people together is what we do best as a Chamber,” said Hal English, President and CEO of the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber. “When you’re surrounded by such an incredible group of business and community leaders, the energy is almost indescribable. We’re grateful for the opportunity to gather with so many wonderful people and recognize the achievements of our honorees.”

Community Development Fund Recipient: HomeWorks Trenton
Established in 2013, the Chamber’s Community Development Fund is an endowed fund dedicated to supporting not-for-profit organizations located in the Chamber’s five-county footprint. Held and managed by the Princeton Area Community Foundation, the fund provides grants each year to organizations that provide tangible benefit to the business community through education, training, and workforce development initiatives.
This year’s recipient of a $30,000 grant is HomeWorks Trenton, which operates a free afterschool residential program for marginalized high school girls. The program provides academic and identity-driven leadership enrichment to supplement public schools and develop community leaders. HomeWorks recently acquired a permanent campus to establish the organization as a vital anchor point and become an integral part of the fabric of Trenton.
“We are so thankful for the Chamber in helping us not only with our building but also our operations,” said Natalie Tung, Co-Founder and Executive Director of HomeWorks Trenton. “This will ensure our scholars have the tools they need to build confidence to achieve economic freedom and empowerment and become leaders in their community.”
