Vista Wealth Solutions Turns 140 at a Defining Moment for Generational Wealth
"Legacy in Motion" — Vista Wealth Solutions Turns 140 at a Defining Moment for Generational Wealth
RADNOR, Pa., May 1, 2026 — Vista Wealth Solutions today celebrates its 140th anniversary, marking more than a century of helping families navigate changing financial landscapes with clarity and confidence. Founded on May 1, 1886, the firm has continually evolved to meet the needs of its clients, and this milestone arrives at a uniquely consequential moment in history.
The largest generational wealth transfer ever recorded is now underway. An estimated $85 trillion to $120 trillion is expected to pass from baby boomers to younger generations and charitable organizations through 2048. The impact of this shift is especially significant in the Greater Philadelphia region, where private wealth totals approximately $2.01 trillion, according to a 2024 study, of which an estimated $1.42 trillion is projected to change hands over the next 50 years.
This transition extends beyond traditional inheritance. According to McKinsey & Company, approximately $30 trillion in baby boomer assets will first pass from husbands to wives — a "horizontal wealth transfer" comparable in scale to the entire U.S. annual GDP — before ultimately reaching the next generation.
"Families may spend a lifetime building their wealth. Our role is to help our clients protect what they've worked so hard to achieve," said Anthony Spatichia, Managing Partner of Vista Wealth Solutions. "At the same time, we're helping them think beyond today, so their wealth can support their children, their grandchildren, and future generations."
Today, VISTA remains focused on guiding clients and families through an increasingly complex economic environment, ensuring their legacies remain in motion across generations. That commitment extends to the advisor community as well. A recent J.D. Power survey finds that 46% of financial advisors plan to retire within the next decade — a generational shift that VISTA is proactively addressing by investing in the development of its next generation of advisors.
"We're preparing the next generation of advisors to lead with strong values," Spatichia added. "By investing in our advisors today, we're working to ensure our clients will have the resources and guidance they need for years to come."
To mark the anniversary, VISTA is launching its "Legacy in Motion" campaign, celebrating the stories of advisors, team members, and clients who have shaped the firm's purpose and impact across generations. The firm also recognizes a shared milestone with MassMutual, which celebrates its own 175th anniversary this year.
"Legacy, to me as a father and husband, is deeply personal. It's about family, values, and the impact we leave behind," Spatichia said. "Everything we do is centered on helping families protect what matters most and carry that forward for the people and causes they care about."
