Deborah Heart and Lung Center Welcomes New Pulmonologist and Sleep Medicine Specialist

Browns Mills, N.J.—Carol Ash, DO, MBA, MHCDS, FACHE, has joined Deborah Heart and Lung Center, where she will practice as a pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist.
She has more than 25 years of experience as a clinician and physician executive. Dr. Ash most recently practiced at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway (RJW Rahway), where she was a staff physician within the Division of General Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases. Her most recent role was chief medical officer of RJW Rahway, where she led the Quality Resources Services Department (QRSD) and Physician Relations and Community Services team, which worked collaboratively to successfully launch performance improvement efforts across the hospital.
At Deborah, she looks forward to helping patients with a range of conditions, including lung disorders such as asthma, COPD, and emphysema, as well as sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. “Helping patients improve their lung function and get better sleep is very gratifying,” said Dr. Ash. “Deborah is highly rated in both of these areas, and I look forward to joining my new colleagues there.”
Dr. Ash is board certified in internal medicine and holds numerous active certifications, including in diseases of the chest and sleep medicine. She completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She also earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, as well as a master’s degree in Healthcare Delivery Service from Dartmouth. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University.
