PICB: Who Gets Funded, and Why? A Conversation on Untapped Potential

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

No one builds something great on their own. Why do some companies get backed while others get overlooked? Often, it comes down to relationships: the trust you earn with investors, funders, and partners, and the honest feedback that sharpens your story.

On Tuesday, October 27, our speakers will share hard-won insights on raising capital and securing grants, including how to grow the relationships that open doors. Whether you’re building a company, investing, or considering either, this evening is for you. No experience required, and everyone is welcome. Come for the conversation, stay for the food, drinks, and a chance to connect.

We will also host a donation drive for The Center for Great Expectations in North Brunswick, New Jersey. They are looking for donations of Johnson & Johnson Head to Toe Baby Wash and Baby Lotion. Target and Walmart gift cards will also provide immediate needs when new residents arrive. Moderator: Juliet Hart, founder and CEO, Hart & Chin Panelist: Lillian Chiang, founder and CEO, Evrys Bio Panelist; Lexie Demirali, senior product officer, New Jersey Economic Development Authority Panelist: Dan Gura, director of business development, Hugo Neu Corporation Panelist: Kat Tarasova, founder and CEO, Mycsology Foods Inc.
