SUMMARY:Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton: 8th Annual Bringing Neighbors Together - Food & Wine tasting
DESCRIPTION:Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton core mission is to serve the cherished older members of the Princeton community who wish to remain in their own homes as they age. We provide three services - free transportation\, food shopping\, and friendly visits. Free transportation: Volunteers pick up their clients at their residences for medical related appointments - doctors and dentists\, diagnostic testing\, outpatient therapy and rehabilitation\, dialysis treatments and cancer treatment. Food Shopping: Volunteers provide food shopping for home bound clients on a regularly scheduled basis. Friendly visits: One of the greatest challenges with the elderly is coping with loneliness. We pair homebound clients with caring volunteers. This year Senior Care Services of Greater Princeton will be honoring two special people - mother and daughter - Janice Hutchinson and Kyleigh Hillsdon. Janice and Kyleigh will be receiving the 2026 Eleanor Nelson Community Service Award. For more than 13 years\, Janice has been a dedicated leader and volunteer at St. Paul School\, serving in numerous PTA roles including three years as President and continuing to support the community in countless ways. A proud alumna\, she embodies the school's mission of service\, consistently demonstrating the impact one individual can have. Her commitment extends beyond her own involvement\, as she inspires her children to give back through initiatives like youth coaching and service projects. Together with her daughter\, she also helped found the Good Deeds Club\, fostering a spirit of generosity and leadership in the next generation. Kyleigh exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose\, compassion\, and initiative. She has built a remarkable record of service by creating opportunities not just for herself\, but for dozens of peers who now engage in meaningful community work because of her leadership. Her efforts span local and national causes\, reflecting both breadth and depth in her commitment to helping others. Whether organizing large‑scale service projects\, supporting vulnerable populations\, or developing creative ways to raise funds and awareness\, she consistently demonstrates maturity\, reliability\, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Kyleigh's impact is felt across many organizations and communities\, and her ability to inspire others sets her apart as an exceptional young leader.
